RAPSODEE combines research and teaching (BS, MS) activities. This is linked to IMT Mines Albi's training programs.
- Engineering tracks
-
IMT Mines Albi offers 4 training tracks, directly linked to the areas of expertise of the school's training and research centers. RAPSODEE manages two of these tracks, both available under apprentice and student status.
-
Pharmaceutical, agro-food and cosmetics processes
The educational objective of this training track is to develop students' industrial culture and professional projection in these sectors, in order to enhance their skills and promote their employability. This is achieved through the study of specific manufacturing processes (solid chain, biotechnologies, pharmaceutical chemistry), as well as business processes (lean, BPM), taking into account the specific constraints of these industries.
For training with student status, 2 paths are possible:- R&D career path: this includes research, industrial development, industrial transposition, and design. The following concepts are covered: equipment sizing, process scale-up and modeling of complex processes
- Production career path: this includes quality, production support, production and logistics. Technical aspects (cleaning, controlled atmosphere production, qualification) and industrial logistics are covered by industry actors
-
Renewable Energies, Sustainable Production and Construction
The educational objective of this track is to acquire a solid knowledge base in the field of renewable energy systems and to develop the skills needed to manage projects ranging from production to distribution and use of renewable and recovered energy (EnR&R), including transport and storage. The integration of EnR&R is approached at different scales: buildings, cities and territories, and industry. The track provides training in management, optimization and control tools for these systems.
For training with student status, 3 paths are possible:
- Conversion, distribution and clean production: this path covers the technical, economic and social aspects of the production of renewable energy carriers (wind, solar, biomass), and the management of energy demand (storage, energy integration) and emissions (cleaning, CCUS)
- Sustainable buildings and cities: this pathway focuses on energy management in construction and renovation (building thermics, rehabilitation) and reducing the impact of buildings on the climate (bioclimatic architecture, LCA, bio-based materials).
- Energy and digital transition: this path concerns the optimization of renewable energy systems through data production (deep learning, etc.) and exploitation (big data, optimization).
It is supported by the "Digitization for the ecological transition" teaching chair, co-constructed with Enedis, a major French player in the energy sector

- MASTER'S DEGREE
-
-
Fluid Dynamics, Energetics and Transfers (DET)
The aim of this Master's degree is to train managers with advanced engineering knowledge and skills in innovation, research and development in the fields of fluid mechanics and energy.
-
- ADVANCED MASTER’S
-
-
Positive Energy Building (BE+)
This advanced master’s degree deals with energy management in the field of construction and renovation (thermal energy in buildings) and reducing the impact of buildings on the climate (sustainable construction). It aims to train engineers capable of meeting the challenges of building regulations, both in terms of energy efficiency and eco-design, by designing low consumption buildings (BBC) or low carbon positive energy buildings (E+C-).
-
Processes and Resources for Circular Economy Engineering (PRINEC)
The advanced master's degree aims to train engineers capable of meeting the requirements and expectations arising from the implementation of new national and European regulations and social demands related to the generalization of the circular economy

Access online educational content developed as part of projects led by RAPSODEE:
- Fundamentals of Crystallization and Precipitation
Level: Master
Language of instruction: French
This collection of 14 chapters covers the various aspects of material crystallization, from the thermodynamics of liquid/solid equilibria to the design of operations, including population balances and the hydrodynamics of suspensions. An introduction to crystalline polymorphism and an introduction to research (inclusions in liquid metals, micromixing or crystallization under ultrasound) are also available. This course requires a background in thermodynamics (1st principle, 2nd principle, phase equilibrium, levels L1-L2), material balances (level L2) and particle size distributions.

- Powder Science and Technology
Level : Master
Language of instruction: French
This collection of 10 chapters is devoted to the characterization of divided solids, and to the main unit operations involving divided solids, from production to storage through various shaping processes. The course also includes a module on sampling of this type of media and health and safety considerations.Access content
- MATLAB for numerical problem solving
Level: Bachelor
Language of instruction: French
This collection brings together courses that use the MATLAB language in a variety of engineering contexts. The basics of the language are covered and illustrated by solving classical numerical problems for engineers. More specific aspects are also covered, such as optimization with or without constraints, sensor data acquisition and processing (Internet of Things, IoT), or version control systems (GIT).Access content
- Thermodynamics
Level : Bachelor
Language of instruction: French
This collection provides a comprehensive course in thermodynamics, showing how the two fundamental principles of thermodynamics must be complemented by a generally empirical description of the thermodynamic properties of real systems to enable the design of industrial operations such as distillation or solvent extraction.Access content
